We have implemented the very best security controls and features to ensure full confidentiality of your account details and financial transactions. Controls such as firewalls, hosting areas, anti-virus software and encryption levels are utilized to prevent spyware issues and hackers.
Firewall
Cambridge Online is hosted through a secure firewalled network to prevent unauthorized access to the platform. To further enhance this security feature, a component known as ‘Deep Inspection’ is combined with the existing firewall to protect against anomalous behavior which may be present.
Hosting
Cambridge online is also hosted through a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) which is a secure and restricted section within the network. In combination with the firewall, our security eliminates hacker-like activity. The network which hosts Cambridge Online has been updated with an enterprise class anti-virus software package. Virus definitions are also updated daily to ensure the system is free from new threats.
Encryption
To prevent third parties from tapping into the information between Cambridge Online and the browser, Cambridge Online is equipped with a 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate which allows data to be transmitted over computer networks in a secure manner. When a browser is connected to Cambridge Online, data encryption levels are established making it secure to perform activities on the platform.
Hacker-safe Protection
The online platform is also set up with an ‘nsProtect Safe’ component which is a security feature provided by Network Solutions®. This component continuously monitors the security and performance between Cambridge Online and the browser.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Features such as firewalls, hosting, encryption and hacker-safe protection are forms of security that that protect your information and activities from a back-end perspective. Quite simply, these security features are not visible by the user.

Cambridge and Security
Cambridge Mercantile Group is committed to ensuring that your international money transfers reach their respective destinations, when expected and without complications. We make it our priority to ensure your information and account details are secure when processing your payments online.
Secure File Transfers
Cambridge utilizes Secure File Transfer Protocols (SFTP) when processing larger payment files. SFTP, is a network protocol designed to offer file management, file transfer, and file access functionality over dependable data streams or channels.
The SFTP standard allows organizations to securely transfer files between each other and is compatible with a number of protocols. SFTP’s specialized file transfer policy has become the industry standard in the file transferring protocol field in terms of excellence in service, security, safety, added intuitiveness, ease of use, and versatility.
Adittionaly, SFTP can be used with existing protocols and applied into a multitude of purposes and functions. This can include the transfer of management information in VPN applications and secure file transfer over TLS (Transport Layer Security). When clients utilize this service, they are required to enter the name of the SFTP host, as well as their password and username. Only the authorized members of a given SFTP can download and exchange files via the SFTP client.
Cambridge’s SFTP service runs on a private and secure channel wherein the server is authorized and deemed legitimate by the client. Moreover, the identity of the client user is accessible to the protocol. Cambridge’s graphical SFTP client interface further streamlines the file transfer process by enabling clients to deliver files by allowing the use of drop functions.
